Z Cocina Mexicana & Chef Ze Carlos

When we speak about exquisitely seasoned and prepared international dishes, there is no better culinary artisan than Zé Carlos Jiménez.

Born in Cuautla Morelos, Mexico, his name is a hybrid that honors his parents’ passion for soccer and the loving memory of his late grandfather Carlos. Zé Carlos’ passion for perfection and healthy food surfaced at a very early age, under the tutelage of his beloved grandmother, Meche. Soon thereafter, he developed his very own authentic gourmet Mexican food, a fusion of incredibly delicious flavors that he denominated “The New Mexican Gourmet Cuisine”.

Zé Carlos’ success is based on knowing how to use the exact mix of an infinite variety of ingredients, spices and chiles with his careful attention to overall health and nutrition.  In his own words: “…when I cook, I create while playing with flavors. As a Chef, I truly enjoy giving 100% of myself to all of my dishes”.

Although Zé Carlos proudly admits that his first love is the creation of Mexican gourmet cuisine, he has also developed a variety of international dishes that are a true delight to even the most demanding culinary experts.

At present, renowned Chef Jiménez also shares his vast culinary knowledge and enthusiasm through private classes, cooking segments, catering services and now as owner at the helm of Hecho a Mano Restaurant in Doral.
